Film Phots at Minnesota Arboretum

The Minnesota Arboretum has always had such a special place in my heart. When I was a kid, my sister, my two cousins and I always spent Thursday every summer with my grandparents. We would go to the zoo, play war in their basement, do puzzles, but most importantly, go to the Minnesota Arboretum. So while I am unemployed, to spend my time, I’ve been getting out and playing with my new film camera. The Pentax K1000 was my dream camera and when I found a good deal on a used one, I finally caved. I used Kodak Ultramax 400 Color Print Film to shoot this and had a blast revisiting childhood locations. It’s easy to get such good photos when the colors are so stunning.

Bahamas Lead at Sea

I had the amazing opportunity to travel to the Bahamas for the Lead at Sea January Term. For the first week, we stayed in Nassau, learning about the culture and meeting people from the community. The second week, we stayed on the Liberty Clipper Schooner boat and learned how to sail it with the crew. Throughout the two weeks, we learned about different leadership styles and how they apply to all aspects of life. I am so grateful for the experience and the people I got to travel with.

Fall 22 Semester Disposables

This semester was definitely a rollercoaster. I ran the new member experience for Delta Gamma for 9 weeks, introducing them to everything about the sorority. I also worked as the marketing and photography intern for the Drake Communications office. There were a lot of highs and lows but I am incredibly grateful for the experience.

Birthday Self Portraits

I always love taking photos on my birthday, to commemorate another year on this Earth. These photos were taken on my 22nd birthday. I included the crown to remind myself I am always a dancing queen and to dance to my favorite song, “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. The set up was pretty simple, using a curtain as a back drop, a flashlight to shine on my face and the self timer feature on my camera.

Bid Day 2022 Disposables

Bid day is a celebration to welcome home Delta Gamma’s new members after our recruitment process in September. I had the honor of serving as the VP Member Education, which included planning this day. I chose Donna and the DGs, based off my favorite movie, Mamma Mia.
